Arbitrators are part of the German constitutional state, but they are laypersons, whose aim is to resolv conflicts peacefully. The film makes the anatomy of the dispute and its resolution tangible. Arbitrators have been using mediation on a small scale for a very long time, not only in Germany but worldwide. Whether shaman, sheikh or arbitrator - they all have one thing in common: the desire and the work towards peace in neighbourhoods and in communities.
